Yes the term B2B literally means business to business, however businesses aren’t run by robots now, are they? They’re run by real people. Therefore, it’s incorrect to say that B2B does not cater to people because it absolutely does.

3. It can not be creative

Another misconception that originates from the misconception that B2B content is “boring”. Of course, B2B marketing can be creative. Often those using B2B marketing strategies believe that in order to gain more customers professionally, one must put forward their content in a manner that is serious, making it seem boring. As I said above that being serious does not equate to being boring, however, marketers believe that being serious means being boring and end up making content that’s not interesting enough. This is a dangerous misconception that can cost a company many potential clients. B2B marketing can absolutely be creative and entertaining while simultaneously providing useful content. In fact, here are many examples of B2B companies that have come up with creative marketing campaigns. They are every bit of proof that B2B marketing can most definitely be fun and interesting!

4. B2B businesses don’t need social media

What an atrocious misconception to hold in the year 2021, especially in the era of a digitalized world. According to Data Reportal, as of January 2021, 4.66 billion people around the world are internet users. It is common sense that not every single one of those people may be using the internet to buy products and services. However, this number alone should be enough to tell you that B2B businesses should be using social media and need it just as much as any other business. Why let a medium that can help your business grow exponentially go? Plus, nowadays people expect to find every single thing online, which includes businesses as well and platforms such as Facebook and Instagram can be your biggest selling points. Regular engagement on these popular social media platforms is the key to any business’s success in the digital era.
